Loft Brera

A full renovation of a 19th-century industrial loft in the Brera district. Raw materials — exposed brick, polished concrete, blackened steel — are balanced by warm textiles and bespoke joinery.

The brief called for a home that felt both urban and intimate — a space that honoured the building's industrial heritage while meeting the demands of contemporary family life. The design retains the original brick vaulting and cast-iron columns as the primary spatial gesture, layering in custom furniture, integrated lighting, and a carefully curated material palette. The kitchen and living areas flow into a double-height library, creating a sequence of spaces that shift in scale and atmosphere.
